Toxic Plants

Toxic Plants

Birds spend a great deal of time chewing, tasting and nibbling.

If a bird has access to a plant, the bird will probably sample it. It is, therefore, essential that bird owners know which plants are safe and which may injure or even kill a bird. Don’t take chances. To prevent accidental poisonings, keep only nontoxic plants in your home or aviary. “*WARNING: Pressure treated lumber contains arsenic! “One ounce of treated wood dust per 10 pounds of body weight ingested may cause acute arsenic intoxication.”
