Female Rosy Bourkes Parakeet - Oscar - 10 years old
"We inherited the bird from family, and have always believed in taking very good care of pets. However my wife and I have a child on the way and can no longer invest the time required to be good to Oscar." "Quiet, very healthy, has learned a few tunes she associates with certain people and happily sings them when those people are around. Bonds strongly with most men and a few women. We can provide 1 large parrot cage, 1 medium sized "travel" cage and 1 small emergency/vet trip cage. We can also provide a number of toys and other supplies." "Very much enjoys sitting on your shoulder and just "hanging out". Doesn't like to be pet by most people but will allow very gentle stroking of her beak and chest once you have won her over. No health problems. Oscar does not have clipped wings and currently enjoys at least an hour a day of time outside of her cage to fly and exercise. Any new owner should be able to ensure Oscar continues to be able to fly and exercise."
Olli and Cashi
Olli and Cashi are two lovebirds. Olli is the bigger "blue" bird and Cashi is smaller "green" bird. Olli after a year or so started to have eggs periodically for a number of years but hasn't laid any for 3 or so years. Cashi has never had any eggs so it is assumed that Cashi is a male. They reside in the living area and love to watch whatever is going on. They can be a bit noisy at times but when covered at night generally are quiet until feeding in the morning. They can both be nippy when feeding them but will cooperate if you take your time.
